Commander Link panel Manual page 85
 Selecting linK from the Left or Right menu brings up a dialog
 box. You need to select which mode to use, Master or Slave,
 and which serial port to use, COM1: or COM2:.

Master vs Slave
 The master computer is the one you want to work on, which is
 usually the desk-top computer since it has a nicer display
 and keyboard. The slave simply processes requests for the
 master. You can copy files either to or from the slave, it
 doesn't make a difference in which direction you copy files.

   Hint: Put the master's link panel on side of your screen
          that is next to the slave computer. For example, if
          your slave computer is to the right of the master,
          put the master's link panel on the right:

              Master                          Slave

    +---- C:\ ---++- Link:C:\ -+         +--------------+
    |            ||            |         |       +-D:\-+|
    |            ||            |         |    ######   ||
    |            ||            |  .---.  |    ######---+|
    |            ||            |         |C>            |
    -------------|-------------|         +------##------+
    +------------++------------+         +------##------+

[x] Turbo Mode
  If you have problems getting your two computers to connect,
  you may need to uncheck the turbo mode check box. If this
  fails to solve the problem, check the readme file on the
  distribution disk.

   Notes:
     . You can copy and move files to and from the slave,
        rename files, delete files, create and delete
        directories, and change file attributes. You cannot,
        however, view a directory tree of the slave computer.

     . If the link is active, you can type "Link:" in front
        of file names for the source or destination of a copy,
        rename/move, delete, or a make directory.
